Another Dress post

So I love Lucy. Really I do! I also love the clothes she wears. This is one of the dresses she was wearing and I wanted to make sure I have it doodled out so I wouldn't forget.

It's "generally" what she was wearing... but updated.

Ceremony Room

So recently Kyle stopped by Ikea and found a LARGE mirror. Approximatle 6-7 feet in height. Width would be I'll say maybe 3 feet? I'm just approximating.

I like how the room has this mirror at the end and that the drapery covers any "awful" wall coverings and signage. Anywho, I don't have a photo of the mirror because well, I can't find it anywhere on the internet and I'm only guessing it looks like the picture to the left.

Also drapery... Anyone have any ideas on how to hang this kind of drapery without putting something into the wall? I don't want to spend a TON of money on decorations, I like how simple they decorated this room

Here is another photo of the ceremony room. As you can see, there will be a gold screen at the front of the room and um... none of that hooba-joob on the floor. Haha! I am a simple girl... I just want it to look nice. =)

Hotel Updates

A placed we really liked was the Hotel Nikko of San Francisco.
Their presentation was lovely:

The lobby of the hotel was so simple, clean, and modern. Bascially really nice Japanese design. Their prices were also the best.

Here are some images of the "potential" space.
I don't have photos of the view but the spaces overlook Union Square, Downtown, and SF bay.

Wedding woes...

Is it really this hard to get in touch with hotel people? It seems they're always too busy to get back to you.

I've called, left messages and etc. The most that one person did was e-mail me. Who does that? I specifically said to CALL me and no one has.

It might also be because there are some union issues occuring downtown right now, but sheesh my life can't stop because workers are unhappy. Hopefully we can find something this month. I'm such a bundle of nerves right now. I'm worried about costs of the wedding, will I have a good enough job by then, etc.

EEP! I just want all this to be done as smoothly as possible!

Hotel Managers...

So I called a couple of Hotels yesterday in hopes to find SOMETHING.
Most are off for the day or aren't there. They switch me to someone else, I give them the general information about the wedding, and they just say, "Pamphlets are in the mail."

Okay. =P

Is this the usuall run-around?
I already have this covered:
1. Dress- Heather
2. Cake/Desserts - Paul
3. Flowers- Laura

These people are actually all brothers and sisters... so it's just a lovely convenience!
More to come!

Day One

Officially this month kicks off the, "Lets get ready for Kyle and Cat to Get Married" month.
This blog will log all the fun, stressful, and interesting things that may happen along the way to the final day and maybe things afterward.

To the right I've posted a list of THINGS TO DO and etc.

To the left you'll see some ideas for dresses. I know the dress will at least be "V" neck and will not be black or white. I want it to also have a vintage feel, but not completely vintage. I like the idea of being able to use the dress again, but then again it would be nice to have something special.

We haven't decided on the exact date, but

September is the targeted month. We are also researching locations for the ceremony/reception.

One contender is the Westin St. Francis.

I've been eating at this hotel for as long as I can remember. It's mostly because my mother loved having lunch here as well as celebrating birthday's, anniversaries, and etc.

Anywho that's it for now. If anyone has suggestions for things please feel free to e-mail or comment.

Oh! Wedding Date: SEPT 2007
